Zombly Privacy Policy
Scope
This policy describes the Zombly iOS app. Zombly is an independent compatibility utility intended for compatible legacy Yummly Bluetooth cooking thermometers and probes. Zombly is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or supported by Yummly or any of Yummly's former or current owners.
Information processed on the iPhone
Zombly uses Bluetooth to scan for and connect to nearby cooking probes. During scanning, the app may process Bluetooth device identifiers, device and advertised names, signal strength, advertised service identifiers, and manufacturer data supplied by nearby Bluetooth devices.
While connected, Zombly processes discovered Bluetooth service and characteristic identifiers, raw characteristic data, connection status, timestamps, and candidate temperature and battery readings decoded from probe data. The V1 app keeps discovered-device information, connection state, raw packets, decoded readings, cook state, timers, and alarms in memory. It does not upload that information to the developer or write it to a Zombly cloud account.
Zombly stores one on-device preference recording whether the welcome screen has been completed. That preference is not used as proof of a purchase or trial entitlement.
In-app purchases
Zombly uses Apple's StoreKit to load products, offer purchases, verify transactions, and restore purchases. Apple processes payment and Apple Account information. Zombly receives StoreKit product information and verified transaction data needed to determine access, including product identifiers, localized product information, purchase dates, verification status, and revocation status.
The developer does not receive full payment-card details. Apple may retain purchase records and make App Store receipt or reporting information for Zombly purchases and refunds available to the developer under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. The audited V1 app does not send a separate copy of StoreKit entitlement data to a developer-operated backend. Deleting or reinstalling Zombly does not erase Apple's transaction records or restart the proposed 3-day trial.

Information not collected by the Zombly app
The audited V1 app does not include:
- a Zombly account system;
- a Zombly-operated backend or cloud database;
- app analytics or remote logging;
- advertising or an advertising SDK;
- third-party tracking;
- a third-party purchase or paywall SDK; or
- sale of app or probe data.
The Zombly app does not send Bluetooth readings, nearby-device information, cook activity, or its own copy of StoreKit entitlement data to the developer. Apple's App Store processing and reporting are described separately above.
Permissions and user choices
Bluetooth permission is used to discover and communicate with compatible probes. If Bluetooth access is denied or unavailable, Zombly cannot scan for or connect to a probe. Settings and in-app legal information remain available.
Users can stop scanning, disconnect a probe, stop a cook, or delete the app. Purchase and refund records are controlled by Apple rather than Zombly.
Website analytics
The app-side statements in this policy describe the audited Zombly iOS app, not this website. The iT Factor website may use Google Tag Manager and site analytics to understand website usage and improve the website experience. That website processing does not mean the Zombly app includes analytics, ads, accounts, cloud sync, or tracking. See the iT Factor website Privacy Policy for the site's broader privacy disclosures.
Changes and support
This policy may be updated if Zombly's behavior or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated when a revised policy is published.
